March 30, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce California Miramar University as its newest expansion club ahead of the Fall Season.

Based in La Puente, CA, California Miramar University will begin UPSL play in the Western Conference SoCal Premier Division. The club will host its UPSL home games at Bassett Park (510 Vineland Ave., La Puente, CA 91746) and Workman High School (16303 Temple Ave., City of Industry, CA 91744).

Jean Foster and Stan Foster are the Co-Owners of Cal Miramar University. Chris Shade is the Athletic Director. California Miramar will exclusively compete in the UPSL.

UPSL SoCal Division Manager Gary Brunner said, "We are excited to welcome Cal Miramar to the SoCal Division. The UPSL connects club of many different shapes and sizes, and CMU offers a player development pathway for its club athletes that is seeking to compete at a higher level. We look forward to CMU competing in the UPSL this fall."

James Cockshott serves as the
Head Coach. Cockshott played professionally in England with Cambridge United, and previously coached in Manchester City FC's youth academy.

"CMU are extremely passionate about player development, and the UPSL offers us an extremely competitive environment for our players to grow and learn," Shade said. "We are excited to get going because due to COVID we haven't had the chance to get out there yet, and would have loved to start earlier, but with many players being overseas it was a challenge to bring them in earlier."

The club will announce its fixture calendar in the months ahead.
