February 13, 2021 - Savannah, GA - Ginga Atlanta will serve as hosts for the UPSL National Finals.

A single, well-placed penalty kick was the difference as Ginga Atlanta defeated OFC Barca, 1-0, in a thrilling UPSL Southeast Region championship game at Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

OFC Barca (13-2-2) earned a penalty late in the first half but captain Victor Rojas's attempted panenka failed to fool Ginga goalkeeper Alberto Ciroi and the teams went back-and-forth for the second half until a Barca defender was whistled for deliberate handling in the penalty area.

Welder Castro stepped to the penalty spot in the 85th minute and converted easily to give Ginga Atlanta (19-0-0 overall) the advantage, and undefeated UPSL Georgia champions were able to hold on despite eight minutes of stoppage time.

Ginga Atlanta is the second of four clubs to secure advancement to the UPSL National Finals, scheduled for March 5-7 at Silverbacks Park in Atlanta, GA.
