December 30, 2020 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Tampa FC as its newest expansion club ahead of the 2021 Spring Season.

Based in Tampa, FL, Tampa FC will begin UPSL play in the Southeast Conference Florida West Division. The club will host its UPSL home games at Skyway Park (3901 George Rd, Tampa, FL 33634).

Tampa FC is managed and operated by American Sports MGMT, a Florida-based agency providing national and international professional development opportunities to teams through international travel and the establishment of Pro Development clubs in the United States.

UPSL Vice President Christian Vallejos said, "We are excited to welcome Tampa FC to the UPSL's Florida Division. This is a club that will provide opportunities for players to advance and has the connections to make it happen. Tampa FC fits in perfectly with the UPSL's development model for both players and clubs and we wish them the best of success."

Mario Erazo is Owner of American Sports MGMT. Brian Easley will serve as Head Coach. Alex Ilic is an Assistant Head Coach.

"Our goal is to provide talented players in our community with possibilities to progress from youth soccer to a professional level training program, first here in the Tampa area and then overseas. By partnering with the UPSL our players have a platform to showcase their talent in high-level competition at the local, state and national stages," Erazo said. "We have seen the exponential growth of the UPSL in the State of Florida and we feel this partnership will benefit our local players who have the potential to become the best version of themselves on and off the field. Tampa FC was founded in 2018 and previously competed at the local level in the Tampa Bay Champions League. The club also has played international friendlies vs. English academies while touring the United States.

Founded in 2018, Tampa FC can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
