December 1, 2020 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce SouthJeff FC as its newest expansion club ahead of the 2021 Spring Season.

Based in Adams, NY, SJFC will begin UPSL play in the Northeastern Conference Western New York Division I. The club will host its UPSL home games at Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds Stadium (970 Coffeen St. Watertown, NY 13601).

Founded in 2016, SouthJeff FC has previous experience in regional tournaments and various local leagues. SJFC will now exclusively compete in the UPSL.

Trevor and Allyson Perry are the owners of SouthJeff FC and the South Jefferson Sportsplex. Trevor Perry serves as Head Coach. Robert McKain is Assistant Coach and Chris Rowland is Assistant Player Coach.

UPSL Vice President Christian Vallejos said, "We welcome SouthJeff FC to the Western N.Y. Division. The Perry Family is committed to the athletes in their community and continues to find new ways to expand locally. Their youth development academy has become one of the best and brightest in the region, and we think SouthJeff FC will be a competitive force in the division for seasons to come."

SouthJeff FC began as a development program to help a struggling local high school team of about 20 players. The new training style led to further expansion, and the club is now the fastest-growing youth development club in upstate New York.

This will provide our best North Country players a chance to play at a higher level of competition and give local soccer fans the ability to see live professional development soccer in their hometown," Trevor Perry said. Founded in 2016, SJFC can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
