August 4, 2020 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Culver City FC as its newest Division II member.

Based in Culver City, CA, Culver City FC will begin UPSL play in the 2020 Fall Season as part of the Western Conference Division II. The club will host its UPSL home games in compliance with UPSL National Division I standards.

UPSL Commissioner Yan Skwara said, "We're excited to welcome Culver City FC to the UPSL. Culver City has a very strong local soccer tradition. CCFC is deeply entrenched in its community starting at the youngest levels and the club's board of directors has a forward-leaning vision for the future. We wish Culver City FC the best of luck as it prepares to kick off in the UPSL just as soon as play resumes in California."

Culver City FC was founded in 1999 and is operated by its Board of Directors. The club has been a member of numerous elite amateur leagues in Southern California but the Culver City FC men's first team now competes exclusively in the UPSL.

"Over the past seven years, Culver City FC has seen a growth of 30-percent every year. The last two years we have been contemplating on what we can offer players and teams after the youth programs. That's when we decided to work on creating an amateur Pro Development team for our player to have options and open doors to succeed in their life-long dreams of becoming a professional player," said Culver City FC President Krist Colocho.

Culver City FC operates a competitive youth academy for boys and girls, ages 6- to 18-year-old, and is a member of CalSouth and U.S. Youth Soccer.

"We are excited to bring to the community of Culver City its first Pro Development men's team and we're looking forward to getting started in the UPSL," Colocho said.
