July 28, 2020 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to welcome Fudbalski Klub Orlando as its newest Division I member.

Based in Orlando, FL, FK Orlando FC began UPSL play in the current Spring Season as part of the Southeast Conference Florida Central Division. The club hosts its UPSL home games at XL Soccer World (825 Courtland St., Orlando, FL 32804) in compliance with UPSL National Division I standards.

UPSL Vice President Christian Vallejos said, "FK Orlando is an exciting new team in the UPSL. The club's owner, Orian, works in partnership with Webber University and he has an eye for local talent. He's an ex-player at Webber and now an assistant coach, so he's well connected and doing well in his first season operating in the UPSL. We are grateful for his professionalism and welcome him to the league."

Orian Burzic is Owner and President of FK Orlando. Burzic is a native of Central Florida and is a graduate of Boone HS in Orlando. He played at both Daytona State College and Webber International University in Florida, and currently serves as an assistant coach for the men's soccer team at Webber.

"Fudbalski Klub Orlando joined the UPSL in order to provide an opportunity to local players to be able to play in front of the fantastic supporters of the great city of Orlando and the Central Florida area. By playing quality, organized football in a professionally-operated league, FK Orlando felt there was no better time to start building something for the city and the players," Burzic said.

FK Orlando (3-0-1 overall) opened its inaugural season with a 4-3 victory over Royal Palms Soccer Club on Saturday, June 20. The club plays Leg A-Z Soccer International at Kanahapa Veterans Memorial Park (7400 SW 41 Pl., Gainesville, FL 32608) 8 p.m. EST on Tuesday, July 28.

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 300 teams nationwide. The UPSL is the largest Pro Development League in North America. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated.

UPSL teams are eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the league's affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
