June 16, 2020 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Capistrano Football Club as its newest Division I member.

Based in San Juan Capistrano, CA, Capistrano FC will begin UPSL play in the 2020 Fall Season as part of the SoCal Division I. The club will host its home games at JSerra Catholic High School (26351 Junipero Serra Rd., San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675) in compliance with UPSL National Division I standards.

United Premier Soccer League Commissioner Yan Skwara said, "We're excited to welcome Pete Carey and Capo FC as new members of the UPSL's SoCal Division. Capo FC is the first UPSL team in San Juan Capistrano and we intend to take advantage of the tremendous community support and local talent that's in the South Orange County market. We look forward to seeing Capo FC on the pitch soon."

Peter Carey is Owner and President of Capistrano FC. The Dean of Students and Boys Soccer Varsity Head Coach at St. Margaret's Episcopal School in San Juan Capistrano, Carey also owns Capistrano Boxing Gym.

"The time is right with several former players wanting to form a team for Capo FC to represent in the UPSL. The UPSL is a great league that provides a platform for players in our community to showcase their skills and play at the next level," said Carey, a former long-time men's and women's soccer coach.

Steven Carey is Vice President and General Manager of Capistrano FC. Tiffany VanTress is Treasurer. Tania Martinez is Secretary. Marco Marmolejo is Youth Director. Brian Moore is Tournament Director.
